CHEMISTRY

The Department of Chemistry strives for excellence in teaching, research and in the application of Chemistry in the service of mankind. The Department aspires to be a leader in the discovery of new scientific knowledge by recruiting staff of diverse backgrounds and nationalities, and the training of students in modern techniques of chemical investigation. To prepare students for professional life, the chemistry degree program is designed with various structured minor programs of six courses (24 credits) that students are encouraged to take to enhance their skills in order to meet the challenges of the ever-changing world The Department of Chemistry offers degree programs at the undergraduate level, masters’ and PhD levels. In addition, there are three professional minor programs at the undergraduate level: Industrial Chemistry (ICHS), Materials Science (MSES) and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (PCHS).
